Business Development Officer


Summary:
The Business Development Officer (BDO) identifies, acquires and grows new loan and deposit relationships primarily with business customers. Prospective customers will be primarily self-sourced or come from external referral sources, including Centers of Influence. The BDO creates sales opportunities and will partner with loan or other officers to cross sell appropriate business products and services and assist with onboarding customers.50% -- Call on potential and existing customers regularly to develop and maintain business. Attend functions and meetings related to the bank. Increase Lea County State Bank relevance to prospective customers and positioning Lea County State Bank Business Banking and product partners for new business opportunities through consistent marketing efforts and delivery of value-added ideas. Partner with leadership to develop the sales strategy. Assisting with sales processes including prospect prioritization, initial contact and pursuit strategy, identification of fit, proposal development, and overall management of new customer acquisition, including onboarding. Partnering with loan officers and other partners to ensure a smooth customer transition (acquire and onboard customers to the appropriate business relationship channel for ongoing management of new clients). Identifying additional product sales by developing partnerships and product partners to deliver the full complement of Lea County State Bank products and services. Representing Lea County State Bank at community events. Responsible for all phases of the sales life cycle including lead generation and sourcing, utilization of relevant systems, following applicable policies, leveraging product knowledge, assessing credit worthiness of prospects and facilitating communication between the Lea County State Bank team and customer. The majority of time (50%+) will be spent outside the office engaged in sales activities. 25% -- Continue with the development and implementation of any new and existing loan programs within the bank. Keep current on laws and regulatory changes and the various loan programs. 15% -- Provide excellent customer service for all customers. Handle and resolve customer service issues, complaints and/or problems in a satisfactory manner.10% -- Increase the existing commercial loan portfolio by $2.5MM.Required Qualifications:
